Do I have to say something physical? 'Cause right now I know what I'd say....
Being a bit more serious, and choosing one person. One thing.
Their mind. It's brilliant. Quick. Curious. They know so much and yet remain open minded and love learning. Love people, with the sort of kindhearted desire to learn more. There's a playful intelligence that I adore having directed at me. It's never cruel, it's oft really dorky but in it I find my home.
I've never met anyone whose mind is quite so... sharp. And yet he never makes me feel stupid.
It's there in the thoughtful interactions, the quips, the reading me and knowing me better than I know myself. The way he pieces things together, effortlessly. Soothes my rather chaotic mind with the calmness of his. Challenges in that gentle way that says they're really someone.
I've realised I've penned a love letter to a fucking brain.

A faith in me that I didn’t have in myself. Steadfastly just (mostly )quietly being there in the background cheering me on. Watching me blossom.

She has the courage to be open with her thoughts and feelings. Although sometimes they do make me dizzy, I must confess.
She treats me as an equal and expects the same. Decisions that affect us both are made mutually.
She wants to understand me as well as be understood.
She can trust, let go of all the heady stuff and just be her playful, kind, loving self. |
