I have been watching Yellowstone (TV Series about the Dutton ranch) of late.
Well written, acted and filmed in the beautiful countryside of Montana but, OMG! the gratuitous violence! There is killing (Multiple killings shrugged off by the police), constant fighting, threatening, abuse of staff, hot iron branding human of beings, turning a bull loose in a bar, etc. etc..
If this is in any way a true representation of Montana I really don't want to go there.
Anyone else seen it and feel the same? |

I’ve just finished the series and enjoyed it.
I visited Yellowstone National Park many years ago and this TV show just caught my attention to really get a feel of Wyoming//Montana and the power of land ownership and ranch lifestyles cowboy country mixed with manipulative politicians loved it !!
The Billionaires that own such vast millions of acres in that state it gave a realistic impression of non sharing and land grab and inheritance through the families and fighting with federal government claims.
Great scenery capturing the vastness of landscapes and yes lots of violence too which could be a tough watch.

It certainly is a well crafted and entertaining show as was Succession. It just seemed to have a lot of gratuitous violence. |
