The majority of people refer to their partner/hubby/wife etc, as their 'Other Half'.
I think I'm an odd ball, as I refer to my son as my other half, I think its because he's the only man in my life and he's literally half of me.
Am I strange? Should the term OH be used for partners only?
I look forward to hearing your _iews and opinions |

I never liked being referred to as the other half when I had a partner. Always made me feel like half a person. |

To me it always seems strange when people refer to someone they are dating as OH to be OH is for someone your married to or live with. I sometimes refer to jay as my boyfriend but dont like to, i always refer to him as Jay as thats his name. Must admit i refer to my son as my baby but thats mostly a piss take as hes 22 |

I don't like or use the term but in my experience it is for husband or wife or partner who lives as .....
If i'm honest ( and i am ) it's very unusual to hear it used for a son.
If im brutally honest ( which I seldom am ) it's bloody weird. He's your son and you wouldn't call him other names that confuse him with a husband. He's really not your other half. |

"Just a fleeting thought ...... if you had two children would they be your other quarters ?"
lol, good question, but probably not.
I dont use the term OH towards him or anything, its just me being weird as he really is half of me.
I'm a strange person Granny! |
