Is almond milk actually milk?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Well no, it's not milk.
It's just one of the dairy free alternatives that provide a similar experience to those of us with lactose intolerance or a desire to not consume direct animal products, or just fancy a change from milk. |

"Almonds are ripped from their young so we can benefit from the abuse and turmoil they go through.

And for what? So vegans can have their fancy little lattes. When will the madness stop? |

Yes, that's how the supermarkets advertise & sell them!

I know quite a few nuts with nipples tbh.
Hamburger comes from Hamburg and I think 'burger' comes from that, but it doesn't seem to specify what has to in the burger.
Some people do seem to need the whole world to me made of meat, but what if other people want something more... or perhaps something different?
And what if they have a need for that?
'Milk' has actually always had another meaning anyway as the latex of a plant.
But the 17-apparently types of plant milk have always been used a breast and animal milk substitute for millennia. Obviously in the West today it's used as a substitute for cows milk.
You actually have to have the right genes (believed to originally be a genetic quirk) to be able to tolerate drinking animal milk as an adult, so it's not just a cultural 'value', it's also a genetic matter (both in ethnic and cultural/tolerance terms) that not all of the world can enjoy.

so is it because I was stripped naked and tied to a goalpost in school, or it there symptoms of neurodivergence here?
I am definitely quite 'autodidactic' though (which has nothing to do with a criminal mind )

Anyone who can digest mammalian milk as an adult, is a mutant.

Milk of Paradise as the best plant 'milk'.
Pigeon/crop milk is about the only milk that makes me grimace. Red top but with fish heads floating in it. |

Pea Pesto interests me as I just don't seem to cook peas much these days. I think I just keep them for my back.
