They look and feel great but can be a pain at healing. Some people experience much more sensitivity, I can't say I've experienced a rise or fall in sensitivity.
Yes, it does hurt when getting them pierced. I explained it like a toddler biting your nipple with their razor sharp teeth.

Had mine done in 1990,nothing to it,a very brief sting like being hit with an elastic band then nothing.Gold sleeper in ever since, that way you can put a bit of savlon on the sleeper and turn it into the piercing to help healing.Go and talk to a piercer first. |

Everyone is different. To me, the “pain” was pleasurable. I used to be nearly addicted to the pleasure of having my nipples pierced. I’d get them done far too frequently. I’d pierce, allow healing, remove jewellery, wait a few more weeks, and go back to have them pierced. I orgasmed once during the piercing.
Everyone will have a different experience. They takes ages to heal. Does it look nice afterwards? It can do. |

My sister has hers done and said the first one is ok because your adrenaline is high, getting the second one done is another story.
I was considering it but she put me off |

Some places will pierced both at the same time for this very reason. It’s two piercers doing it in unison. |

It hurt, but not an unbearable pain. It’s worse than a tattoo but it’s so quick that it’s a second of ouchy then it’s fine. Sadly it came out and closed over so quickly. I don’t know if you can re pierce scar tissue so I haven’t had it redone but I would like to |

Ahh, I did wonder why it wasn’t done like that. |

They take forever to heal (usually a year but obviously everyone’s different), I’ve had mine in this time for over 2 years, got caught in a body stocking a couple of weeks ago so I took it out for the night and then couldn’t get it back in the next day. Had to go back and get it re-threaded |

I absolutely love mine. Loved the feeling of having it done, it was more like a sharp quick pinch but I do have quite a high pain threshold. It's healed very quickly, increased sensitivity and I've managed to get the knack of changing my piercing.
Make sure you go to a good salon if you decide to get it done! I've only had one done, not sure if I'd get the other done. Mainly because I like the look of one.
I'm still on the hunt for the perfect dark green stone piercing. |

I had both mine done when I was 25 but hadn't realised how long they take to heal - after about 8 months they were still quite painful and a bf at the time convinced me to take them out, wished I had done my research as I had hoops in which are actually not advised for healing process |

Mine weren't, one piercer, separately. He did say the second would smart more. I don't recall any difference to be fair. My friend got one done and was given the warning about not returning a second time. She only wanted the one doing. |

I think I was quite lucky with mine. It healed pretty quickly and I had no issues or pain with it except for once about a week after. They use a bigger bar to allow for swelling. The swelling went down and as the bar was too long for my nipple, it got caught on the lace of my bra. Thought I ripped my nipple off |

I think I’d end up leaving after the first one if they were done separately. It does make more sense to have them done at the same time so you’re not anticipating the pain. |

The key is to go back and get the bar size reduced (which clearly I never did smh) because it hurts like fuck if you catch it on lace |

Don't do it. If anyone ever has to use a defibrillator on you, you can kiss goodbye to your nipple forever. |

I had mine for several years ago. I don't think they were done correctly as they never healed right so took them out later last year.
Just had them redone and they are already healing much better and I feel more myself again. I love them and quite happy getting them done but I enjoy a certain level of pain |

I love mine.. had mine done for a purpose as breastfeeding my babies really toughened mine up so wanted to see if it would help re-sensitize then.. and it worked.
I don’t recall them hurting that much tbh.
The aftercare is very important.. and I found a use for the GÜ glass pots .. they made perfect nipple salt baths which I done twice a day!
Also used mepore breathable dressings to cover nightly for 2 wks.
Maybe I was lucky and just healed quickly or maybe because I stuck to a good aftercare regime .. but I do know people who still get tender a year of two on.

3 yrs ago I suffered an out of hospital cardiac arrest and the paramedics removed my piercings to defib me.
I still have my nipples and still wear rings after reinserting them when I woke up a month later from my coma.. I know.. what a lazy cow! Lol |
