Gargle with aspirin and see if that helps (unless you are allergic to aspirin). |

I had a fantastic Vietnamese GP years ago who always recommended a couple of days of fasting, introducting plain boiled rice on the third day, boiled chicken to the rice on the fourth day and then flavour on the 5th. If you weren't better by then she would consider drugs or other treatment. |

I know someone who uses home remiedies when her kids are ill, she takes them to the Drs finds out wheat is wrong with them and treats them using home remedies. When they fail she will reluctantly resort to pharmacuticals |

Vinegar or honey for absolutely everything. I found a book in a charity shops about the uses of vinegar and honey for home remedies and it actually works. Being half super human I'm never ill but if I ever am that's the way I go x |

Totally believe in home remedies including homeopathic as I have seen them work. Having said that I am too impatient to try home remedies ... can not really take time off easily. So its pop a few pills and continue. mind I am not ill very often... |

I only take a pill if I really really have to .. otherwise if I have something minor wrong, ie cough, cold, headache etc I follow this old fashioned remedy
Give it a day or so and it'll put itself right |

I use a couple of home remedies.
For a bloated stomach/ trapped wind
I teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in a glass of water helps
Restless legs
Vicks rub on the soles of your feet put socks on and rest.
Any colds or illnesses in the house and sit a cut onion in the room. It helps to clean the air.
I have found they work. Can't think of any others just now.

i read an article a while back - apparently if there is sickness in the home an onion will absorb the germs - there was a lot more to it than that but its definately no biggy to try |
