Reminds me of years back going to a pub near our barracks and seeing a punter lying on the floor practically snogging the pub dog (Not even his own dog!)
Anyway, after he left we had a lock in and got a BJ from the landlady, so wasn't all bad  |

It is definitely not sterile, it contains bacteria. However that does not mean the bacteria it contains is inherently bad. But it is far from sterile. By the time it has left your body it will have picked up bacteria on its journey from bladder to the target. |

No, I absolutely adore my dog and will cuddle him for hours but draw the line at having face licked don’t even really let him lick my hands just one or two strokes maybe as know he’s just showing love but after that no |

I avoid having my face licked by dogs for hygienic reasons: I don’t find the feeling especially objectionable. Except that licking my lips is a very definite NO.
When it’s being weaned, a puppy licks its mothers’ lips to induce her to vomit the next meal. So licking an actual or potential carer’s mouth is instinctive.
Our sweat contains salts, so our skin is a good source of these for dogs. I have also been licked by cats (very rough tongues), cows (very rough tongues) and elephants (surprisingly smooth tongues). NOT on the mouth, I hasten to add. Mainly on the insides of my wrists.

Don't they leave a load of dog drool on your face when they do that, I've got cats and don't even let their little tongues lick me anywhere but I do kiss them on the top of the head lots, I guess I have double standards animal drool is a no no but mine is fine lol  |

Head boops as we call them are a must if you have furry felines, our two sniff and paw our faces in the morning if they're hungry but they don't lick |

My little girl was in hospital after getting bitten by another child and it got infected. I got told by a doctor that a human bite is worse than a dogs in terms of bacteria.
Human mouths are more disgusting and problematic apparently, yet those (it would seem) are free to roam everywhere |

A woman friend of mine has a dog . The dog is always pleased to see me when I call and is affectionate . She might lick my face in her excitement at seeing me .She is however choosy just like her owner . I can wash my face afterwards but it's a small price to pay for the privilege of calling on my woman friend .Love me love my dog springs to mind. |
