Dubai & Nottingham

Why limit yourself to Europe , a couple of extra hours you can be in the Gulf, Egypt & many other places with great weather

Central

Cyprus can still be very warm. Many areas start to shut down for winter just a little after. Ayia Napa, for example, is like a ghost town in winter.

Which map are we looking at that depicts the Canary Islands geographically in Europe?

The one where West Africa has a big dent in it, where Europe took a big bite

Tenerife is lovely in Nov/Dec. But it is not in Europe

I've just booked for the South of France in late October, and hoping the warm weather holds...

Cyprus not a bad shout for decent weather, but Tenerife is a pretty safe bet (agreeing with the geographical point above! )

Thanks guys. We just had to delay ours for reasons out of our control so need something near as possible.

Was thinking Cyprus or the costa del sol but really want somewhere guaranteed sun and warmth. Can Cyprus and the costa give us that or is it hit and miss.

Like someone suggested though a couple more hours won’t be the end of the world.

What’s cape Verdi like.

Good choice. I was in Sharm last November, Perfect little huts on the beach at sharks bay dive resort, scuba and diving every day for free on a local reef, then I paid a guy to drive to St Catherine’s and climbed Mt Sinai ,sunset was amazing , slept at the summit in a cabin with these locals, amazing home made food and blankets. Got up early and shot the sunrise

I almost adopted 2 little children and a small camel , amazing holiday

"Bognor regis"

How is Bognor these days. Used to spend many days not far away in Billingshurst as a child.

Cape Verde will still be warm in November but doesn’t fit into your “short flight” needs, and if your partner paints North Africa with one broad stroke, best stay away from other parts of Africa.

It’s not Africans she had a problems with.

Someone mentioned that if you’re going to Cyprus what difference will a couple of extra hours make. Made me think. Yeah you’re right.
