A form of human enhancement where humans attempt to change aspects of their biology to improve their health, performance or well being.
Types of biohacking include wearable devices (fitbits for example), intermittent fasting (eat for 8 hours fast the rest of the day), cold water therapy, nutigenomics (how people react to food and their genes play a part), grinders (devices under the skin) and more.
Thoughts people?
I wear a Fitbit and I'm currently interested in food and drink and how my body reacts to it so I've taken more of an interest in it in general so I guess I'm slightly a biohacker.
Are you a biohacker? Even slightly?
Or do you think biohacking sounds like a massive conspiracy theory and just a tool used to market products?
Or are you a devoted biohacker that can share with us what you've learned so far? |

I've always thought about biohacking as been the integration of technology into the body. Things like people putting RFID chips in their hands, which is pretty cool but not something I'd personally do.
I do like to keep track of numbers like weight, heart rate, body makeup with a smart watch but that's about it.

A lot that was BH is now just best practice to stay healthy
Daily 1000 VitC & superfood
IV and oxygen
bulletproof coffees
don’t IF but I do 3-7 day full fasts.
Whoop 4.0 - way better than Fitbit for health
RFID when it’s available
Sleep hacking
Last time I was in UK I visited Harvey Nichols in Birmingham they have an IV cafe now with all sorts of injectables on the menu and I think they are doing oxygen soon.
Other stuff but it’s all sold legally in UK under the research purpose only umbrella for private GP and willing customers |

What’s wrong with the idea of RFID, can’t think of a better way to utilise that piece of skin between your thumb and first finger. The data I can give you and stop you have a catching a cough and cold or COVID again in your life. |

I never said anything was wrong with it, I just don't fancy taking a scalpel to myself

The word biohacker does sound like some Black Mirror stuff. |

"I think by the OPs definition those of us who are trans and using gender affirming treatment count as biohackers."
I stole the definition off the internet so if it's not accurate I'll take the hit but I'll also blame Google a little bit. |

It’s really silly
Most people aren’t doing the basics
Getting enough sleep
Staying hydrated
Eating a good diet
Getting enough exercise both resistance and aerobic
Biohacking is the equivalent of putting a spoiler on your 9 year old 0.9l corsa that hasn’t had an oil change or new tyres in 3 years

I think you’d be smooshed into a cube and make a really good industrial paper weight
Play to your strengths. Holding paper down |
