Who's drinking tonight?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I'm not, I'm on a detox for a while (I'm also at work), I've drank more than usual over the last 2 weeks and it has significantly disrupted my whole sleeping pattern in a detrimental way.

Last night was the first time I have slept a solid 9 hours uninterrupted in almost 3 weeks also the 3rd day I haven't drank any alcohol.

Doing my type of work no point in drinking much. Although I have good reason to this weekend.

Chipping Norton

Out to one of my favourite restaurants for the tasting menu and the matched wines. Could not be more enthusiastic about the prospect if it was my birthday and I was meeting all my favourite Fab folk in the afternoon before supper.

(Actually, those fantasy alterations to the day sound kind of fun, but I feel fortunate enough already with the dinner heaving into view.)

It sounds like it's working for you OP, hope you're doing well.

I find that drinking leads to hangxiety in my old age. I've not had anything since the MLS - I'll probably have a couple of cocktails next week but tonight/this weekend? Nothing but water to replenish me.

"Hope you are ok op"

I'm okay I was on holiday so drank more than usual because why not, however I was really unaware that even though I didn't get d*unk everyday that amount of consumption would effect my sleeping pattern, I would wake up after 4 hours and sleep a maximum of 7 hours per night which for some is good but I'm no good when it's broken sleep

It's the rugby today, so i shall have the odd pint with the games.

It's age that affects my sleeping - a true insomniac, late to bed and early up (I am like Maggie T, 4 hours sleep a night)

I don't drink alcohol!

And just like a vegan would, I felt I had to announce it.

That doesn’t sound great, and sounds like you know it. Might be time to reach out for some help, and get checked out healthwise.

A few pints or sharing the off bottle of wine is supposed to be enjoyable and relaxing. Too much, too often achieves the opposite.

Good luck!

I may have a glass of wine with dinner tonight. Undecided as yet but not leaving the house once all minions have been deposited/collected as required later.

Have had too many nights out lately, so I'd like a quiet night.

Are you sure it wasn't because of jet lag rather than alcohol?
