What's the one dinner you make or grew up having that no one else seems to have had or people think is weird?
Mine is mince and onion gravy with tinned spaghetti and home made chips with a side of bread and butter. It just works lol. |

When I was younger I used to think putting pesto with everything was kind of wild and clever until I heard Nigel Slater say "we British add this stuff to everything."
Experimenting with fast food seems to be our modern culinary skill!
Kind of like Heston Blumenthal, but with bottles, boxes and tins.

I used to drink coffee with milk (very little coffee mind) with breakfast. That’s normal where I’m from. The odd bit, that no one I’ve ever met has ever done… I’d add a generous wedge of Edam cheese to the hot coffee. It would melt and after finishing my coffee, I’d eat this melty, sugary cheese. |

When I first started dating my husband his Mum asked if I wanted a 'triple decker' not wanting to be rude and ask what it consisted of I was intrigued so said yes...
It was a slice of toast layered with beans and kebab meat, then more toast with more beans and kebab meat then another toast with beans and kebab meat all topped off with melted cheese, it looked weird but tasted alright tbf
Took me years to unravel that man's unhealthy eating habits |
