Did you know, Feeling persecuted, Marley wrote the protest song about self-defense, meaning that the protagonist in the song saw the “Sheriff” aiming at him, so he shot first. But the gun violence wasn’t blind: he did not “shoot the deputy.” Meaning, that he was not indiscriminately firing at all people in uniform, just those looking to take his life. |

Did the deputy actually get shot?
Is he not saying look I shot the sherif as he was aiming at me, however I didn’t shoot anyone else?
As for guns they should not be in public ownership, this is proved with our American cousins and their stupid 2nd amendment. This was put into their constitution in 1751.
I think the world has moved on since then. |

It was someone on the grassy knoll. If you play the song forward, very slowly, you'll see that there's definitely a shadow, and a puff of smoke, from the knoll, just before the chorus.
