Spent more time in recent weeks focusing on the positives. The people that love me as I am rather than hating myself and wishing I looked different. Loving yourself is hard right? On a site like this the knock backs used feel like you weren’t attractive enough right? Like if you looked different your luck would change. But then you focus on those that do like you rather than those that don’t. And you fell on top of the world. Like you’re attractive. Because someone sees beauty in you.
I have learned in the last year, instead of what if they don’t like me, or what if I’m not good enough or what if it doesn’t work out, to consider instead- what if they do? What if I am? What if it does?
My wish today is for you to message someone (as a friend or more)! Take a leap!
Worst case you embarrass yourself. I’ve done that millions of times and I’m only 26. So I guess I’ll do it a million more times. And people will forget.

A lovely sentiment and good solid advice to anyone who has low self worth.
We ALL look different, and we will feel different about ourselves and we should only love ourselves first.
My personal views on myself is not about my looks anymore. I only feel good about myself if someone I like says they think I’m nice. That makes me feel wanted and fancied again.
I have taken the leap of faith a few times in here, more often than not I’ve been put in my place, and found I’m must be waaaay out of their league when they don’t reply … …. It’s a joke.
But should we not talk to people because we think we won’t be their type? Nah, like you said op, go for it. It’s never going to happen if you don’t try.  |
