I’ve received messages from “ladies”, as in it seemed questionable. It felt more like a man hiding behind a woman’s profile each time.
I did once send a lady a message. Completely platonic. Her profile was brilliant and reading it, made me want to befriend her in real life. It never lead anywhere but I did share my strong like for her powerful, take no bullshit, confidence that was unapologetic about her many likes and dislike. She just seemed a real party of laughter, and good times but someone who would have your back through thick and thin.
She did reply to me in awe and perhaps thought I was mad. |

It could well be a woman thing OP; generalising, it seems most women on here wait to be messaged, which, if true would explain why you aren't getting mail from women.

I used to get more, I think aging has something to do with that. Less girls wanting to try it, or certainly try with me as they aren’t in my age range. Also life gets busy and it’s hard to find mutually free time. Now it’s mainly men pretending, or messages that go nowhere. However when it does work out it’s still amazing ?? |

When I had my single profile, I only wanted to meet women for a period of time and then soon realised we don't generally message anyone so that was that.
I did get a couple of "women" message me but used the words panties and nightie, so they were a dude clearly

Dating apps as with clubs take advantage of men unfortunately, ladies always get things free or very cheep so yeah the Facebook one is really good. |

I'll also throw geography in the mix, as depending on where live can make a huge difference. I live in a small city and unfortunately men hugely out way women and couples and unless you're willing to travel 30/40 miles maybe more it can be a waste of time. I'm happy to travel but definitely not for just a quick. |

Me too. I did meet one man from there who went very quiet when I was ill, so I didn't bother with him.
There were lots of scammers and fake profiles on there.

I have “straight” on my profile and have only just recently awoke to my bi-curious self so I don’t really know how to feel about that.
But I have often received messages from ladies asking me to keep their husbands company or something like that.
I’m now questioning whether I’m that naive to think they were actual ladies or what.
I apologise if they were, and I can understand the appeal. |

Some women have couples blocked so C can’t chat to them even though she meets women alone.
She could set up a singles profile solely for women but as you’ve shown OP it’s whether it’s worth it.
Personally I think most women who are on here for a while will already have a number of people they meet or chat with and so adding more is hard.
