What is Cury to you?

I'm sure like most we have looked at profiles where someone has described themselves as Average or Curvy and we've had a chuckle.

And yes I get that it's subjective and there's different body types.

But if you're a size 16+ you can't say you're Curvy.

My train of thought is this. Sizes 8-12 depending on they're body type and height can be slim, average, or athletic.

12-14 can be average or Curvy.

14-16 are Curvy and anyone over size 16 can choose their own description.

So how are we to tell what Curvy is to you if you don't have a picture.

Curvy is a shape, not a size, to me

It’s small waist with big hips/bum/thighs and boobs to match

Sadly, it’s purely luck of the draw. It’s not something you can create in the gym. Your either blessed to store fat in the right places, or the wrong places

So you can still be quite petite and considered normal BMI but have curves, you can be obese and have curves, it’s all down to genetic luck

In my opinion all women are curvy, they all have boobs, they all have hips and they all have an arse.

Curvy isn't a dress size.

Because on profile it says type, not size.

If people perceive it to be a size that's on them, but it doesn't state size at all.

Does it really matter what the description is? you either like what what you see or you dont.

If there's no photos, ask, if you can't tell or they won't send and you don't want to waste time, move on.

And you can change your mind at any point, even on a social.

I don't understand the obsession with size or description.

I find it quite saddening that the only way you can have a chuckle is to look for profiles that describe themselves as curvy then pass judgement on the accompanying pictures.

So very sad.

Why don't we open up the descriptions of body type to be more accurate then have mods applying labels according to the following:

In need of a chicken supper

Bony

Flat

skipped leg day

avocado shaped

average

An overweight individual can have an hourglass figure. I know this because I know my measurements... and they're hourglass. My chest and hip measurements are the same and my waist is significantly smaller.

And I'm overweight.

People who don't fancy overweight people should just say they don't fancy overweight people. It isn't offensive, it's just a thing.

I wasn't going to comment but i am....

Curvy typically means you have an hourglass-shaped body. A woman's “curves" refer to the swell of her hips and breasts in comparison to her waist. So it really doesn't matter how skinny or fat you are all women can be curvy.

It's a shape not a size!

Literally, curvy means "having curves", "containing a lot of curves", "having a body with rounded parts, especially large breasts and hips".

That is a shape. Not a size.
