To those that shy away from commitment or getting to close to someone is it because you are scared? Or is it because you have been so badly hurt the thought brings you out in a cold sweat?

Not because ive been hurt, its because i love my life and the freedom i have and i think im so set in my ways,i couldn't have anyone come into that.

I see my man a couple of times a week and it works for me.

Not scared, just don't want it any more.

If I were to meet someone I doubt very much I would want to be with them 24/7, I like my own space and I'm content with my life being my own and being answerable to no one.

Neither if those really. I just enjoy my life the way it is now. Bachelorism seems to agree with me. I wouldn't rule out committing if the right lass came along but I won't actively seek it either.

It seems there are a few of us happy as we are.who might like someone to compliment that but not to dominate it.

I'd like someone but I don't necessarily want marriage or living together.

Tricky, eh?

I am scared of tall blondes.

My therapist has told me to confront my fears and shag em until they can't walk

Er, what you doing later?

I said to a friend last night, my ideal man would live next door and have to knock at mine to get in, he wouldn't have a key!

I'm scared of it because I've been hurt. Unfortunately I'm a product of past relationships. It's just the way I am.

i like having a man around for the company, i dont think its good to rely on a man to make you feel happy though because when it goes wrong then what else have you got.

dont expect too much then you wont be so disapointed.

No and not been hurt in the past.

I think over the years I have read many posts on here about heartache from previous relationships, hurt, trust that has been abused. You can feel it in the way they write about the subject of being single, married people playing away etc etc and the way they react to some of the attention.

I personally wish them all the best as they recover from that hurt and move forward. I do think some may need to deal with it with some professional help & relationship counselling.

Looks like I am leaving earlier than expected due to the extra mileage
