When I was young once worked in a shoe shop the manager was was morris man and used to pratist his moves on the door step before the shop opened when we came into work .I told him he look ridiculas he proply sack me lol.I'd another job by the afternoon .

Indeed; there is a silly affected modern snobbery against Morris dancing, often among people who think that any other odd form of foreign folk dancing is marvellous just because it isn't English, much like opera snobs who wallow pretentiously if incomprehendimgly in tedious but silly Italian opera because it's 'sophisticated' but sneer at Gilbert & Sullivan because it's English although it's not only clever but funny and great fun.
