I read a lot as a kid but also played in our or other people's garden with my brothers and friends (we weren't allowed to play in the street), mum would sometimes take us out on the bus. When my youngest brother was born I used to look after him a bit, as I got older people used to think I was his mum  .

I was fortunate enough to live at the edge of a small commuter town until I was 13 so getting into all sorts of trouble doing silly things in the countryside or backstreets. We then moved to fairly central Bracknell so becane more of a street kid for awhile |
