Sometimes it is good for kids to see where meat comes from i think. Also i like to see where my meat was raised but i know its not possible for all.
Would never eat veal for that reason. |

I guess I wouldn't eat beef coz we only a small garden and a tiny kitchen so killing, gutting and storing a fookin cow would be a bit difficult. It would have to be chicken every Sunday in our house! |

There was a BBC series not so long ago, called catch it, kill it, eat it.
Went thru the slaughter process of various animals for foood. I'd have no problem doing it. At the end of the day the real question should be. Would you kill an animal so that you live yourself. If it was life or death, everyone would, even a veggie. Its the built in survival instinct in all animals including mankind |

yeah thats true, im a veggie and i've bought all my kids up veggies but if im going to be honest if we was stranded somewhere with no means of getting home and nowhere to get food from for several days and a rabbit hopped by id kill it to feed my kids, but while ever i can go to asda and buy alternatives to meat i will carry on doing so |

Usded to shoot rabbit, pheasant etc and prepare them for my table...been veggie for a while now, but have some sheep and have a pig ready to start a sausage breeding programme. The plan is to rear and eat those too...so does not cause me a problem |

The answer would have to be yes. I have killed and eaten pheasant, wood pigeon, duck, chicken and rabbit (had a twinge of conscience here...Watership Down, which one of the cast did I just shoot?). So in the end, if it is a matter of survival..you would have to. Though saying that, I would draw the line if it came down to cannibalism. |

I have shot to kill, dressed an animal and eaten it. I was raised to hunt by my uncles. Rabbits... geese... deer, all decimate crops and trees and are prolific breeders therefore we culled them. All those animals live naturally free range to adulthood...unlike 12 week old factory bred supermarket chickens for instance. |

I was out shooting deer a few years ago and what a lovely slice of venison i had on my plate after all the gutting and cutting up took place
I just love venison. You need to try venison burgers as well. |
