I'm seeing a lot of negativity on the old forums lately.

Sweeping statements, generalised opinions, body shaming, class shaming, gender shaming, gripes about this group or that group.

Can't we all just get along?

Worthing

I just ignore the negatives and focus on the positives.

Boo's World

Some people love the drama it involves and will never grow up like Peter Pan.

La la land

Think there is always some negativity on the forum. Think the only way to make it more positive is to start more positive threads.

This one.

Focus on the positive OP. You can probably spot the deliberately provocative or same old boring ones from the thread titles or the poster. Just don't click on those ones and the forums will be a happier place for you

Canvey Island

I genuinely feel as though the forums have got a lot more hostile lately.

Apparently I like larger girls, then it’s thinner girls, all of a sudden my body shape isn’t good, but now it is, or as a single guy I’m the equivalent of Satans nutsack, then it flips to “not all single guys”. And that’s just in a week!

I thought I disliked people prior to joining here, mainly it's reinforced my dislike to people.

People (not all) are just not worth the energy.

This place is becoming less fun by the day.

Overwhelming positivity is nauseating and often fake. It's just as unhealthy as overwhelming negativity.

More often than not, those pushing for positivity are those provoking the negativity.

Some people aren't very nice unfortunately.

Some could start an argument with themselves

I think we should ban fat, disabled, probably lower-middle class (stepped up from working class) women from the forum

Ummmmmmmm. I can't think of any more demographics to ban, but if you can think of one or two, I'm up for banning them too

Online gives people a freedom and in some cases anonymity they don't have in real life to say what they want without caring about the effect it can have or they consider it just banter or people getting offended too easily

That's the forums for you. They are a lot less dramatic/tamer than they used to be mind.
