I went for my walk. Normally my hips and legs feel like burning and giving way and i have to stop 2 places and gather myself.
I got back and I left my fkin card in the shop, so I just walked up and just got home.... I didn't have to stop... there is no burning in my shins, and I've got no chest ache from trying to regulate breathing. I'm exhausted and sweaty yes but not aching.
Can anyone help or know why I the 2nd walk I didn't need to stop? |

Good for you my lovely, I know how hard it is.
Maybe the second time you were on a mission, focussed more about the card and thinking about that rather than anything else?
Who knows? But I’m glad it went well |

Was it dark on the 2nd walk?
Sometimes going out and about when it’s dark makes you feel a bit less self conscious so you relax a bit more. Maybe that relaxing just made it easier for you?
It was light then I have no clue. Maybe you had warmed up on the first walk and the 2nd walk you were ready for action. |

If you are getting pains in your shins that's called shinsplints and its caused by tight calf muscles. You may have stretched them out on your first walk and that's why there was no pain the second time.
There are so many aches and pains linked to tight calf muscles and the recommended stretches are so easy to do.
They are all over youtube etc. |

I don't know how long a walk it is, or your specific conditions, but maybe you'd just warmed up!
I know that when I'm at the gym, the 2nd set is always 'easier' than the first as you've felt the weight etc.
Maybe you're ready to push the walking on...? |

Thanks for the replies
I went for a longer walk and have just come back, 6120 steps in daylight
And the walk back was definitely easier
Onwards and outwards and upwards

6100 steps is pretty good. Ease in gently and I'd suggest some vitamin supplements. Good on you |
