These storms over Lincolnshire have been hella intense. Plus they have fried my PC because my dumb ass forgot to unplug it.

I can't be the only one who gets excited in a thunderstorm. Who else gets the horn in the storm?

Nottingham

I love a good thunder storm. We've only had a few showers of rain here sadly.

North West

Please can you send the storm over here?? It's far too humid but we've only had a brief and pathetic downpour of rain. We need a proper thunderstorm and quick!

North Bucks

Had an amazing storm over here from 14:00 for an hour. Couple of rumbles of thunder but the rain was something else!!!

Spent the afternoon up a ladder as it became very apparent my neighbours guttering needed some attention afterward.

Nice and still now lovely and cool

You should invest in surge protection. You can pick up Surge protected 4-way and 6-way adapters from a lot of places these days at pretty reasonable prices. Certainly a lot cheaper than having to replace your PSU, system board and / or processor

I have an allegedly surge protected adapter and it wasn't cheap, but it hasn't tripped. That is going in the bin. The PC powers up but no signal to the monitor from either the GPU or mobo, which is currently showing a dead RAM code. I swapped out the RAM but no change and I will have to get a GPU and PSU out of storage to check that is the culpret tomorrow. The RGB is still working so at least it is a pretty brick in the corner.

The lightning hit the pole outside while I was stood in the doorway. That was exciting but I missed recording it. That would have been epic.

I was born in a thunderstorm, the power cut to the lift and they thought me mam wouldn’t make it to maternity in time. Which I now blame on the fact I don’t seem to know whether I’m coming or going.

As such I love a good storm and it’s been threatening all afternoon, with distant rumblings but nothing full on yet

I love any storm, but they don’t give me a horn. If I am out in them especially, they remind me I’m alive..
