Anyone else put off by user name/message header
Jump to: Newest in thread
We often delete messages without reading them as we can see their name, their profile pic (or lack of) or can read the first few words.
We are here to meet with likeminded people and so don’t waste our time on messages/profiles that aren’t going to interest us.

As a general rule if a username includes fanny, moust, ruin, secret or any variation of discreet, the number 69, or just sounds vile to me, I'm probably not even reading the message before sending a no thanks. |

We met on here and K's single profile name didn't enamour me - if he hadn't sent pics and such an attractive message, we may never have met!
It wasn't anything vulgar, more... a play on disturbing

I normally give them the benefit of the doubt when they message because they could be absolutely lovely and I'd hate to think I'd miss out just because their username or header isn't great. Some people like myself just aren't creative when it comes to that sort of thing. |

Using first names is taking a risk, even when it isn't actually your own (which I never really got anyway!). It's a statistical thing that involves strangers and someone you knew. When you know someone even a little bit it just becomes a word again. It's just the first impression. I did actually block someone on FG cos I got fed up of seeing *that* Christian name all the time.

"Anyone else put off by the user name or message heading and delete on that basis ? I mean want railed or me and my pal want to ruin you !! are just some I’ve had"
Anything with bull, dom, pussy licker, c*nt lover ect get instant delete. I am not after a bull ever, nor a dom as i have one in my partner already. Some user names are cringe worth. |

"I don't read username just click on it and read the profile - then delete if blurb practically empty, no pics/ gross pics, or don't meet my criteria."
And there's that woman, when I see her profile and she's laughing at me, Because I know thaty ex has spoken to her about my prowess |

"Not at all. Its so tongue in cheek really. Do people really take them seriously?!"
Not taking them remotely seriously. But a bloke in his fifties who thinks cuntlicker is a good name isn't my sort of bloke... |
