A Secret Hideaway In the caravan of love

In our last house i screwed some pic’s on the walls, when we where moving, i was unscrewing the the pic’s to take to the new house, when there was a strong smell of gas, i had to turn off the gas and get the gas board to come and fix it, the screw had been in the gas pipe for five years.

Not my mistake but worth a mention. My mate took his lounge door off to saw half an inch off the bottom, but cut it off the top instead, so then thought he'd just move the hinges. He did that, then found that the door catch didn't line up. When he tried to modify it he split the door frame All in all, he fucked the door and the frame up. His wife called a local DIY man in to put a new door and frame in and it ended up costing him close on £300

Near Edinburgh..

Hubby once fitted a new carpet into a flat for a friend.. one of the floorboards was quite loose so he got a hammer and a few nails and fixed the loose floorboard..

Downstairs - flooded overnight and the ceiling caved in...

the cause was found to be a nail in a waterpipe between the floors.. whoops

While working as Electrician had a load of call out after DIY

Loft board screwed though cables.

Lady had kitchen fitted complete with new electrics, 326 electrical faults which included no "earth " connected on sockets because it was tripping MCB. They also had to have three joists replaced as spots had been drilled into them.

I put a curtain pole up with no more nails

And it fell down in the middle of the night and took half the plaster and scared me half to death.

Then to insult to injury i asked the ex to come put it up proper and id left my phone in the bedroom...he decided to have a peek and realised i had him listed as wanker n stormed off without finishing the curtain pole.

Ok but with your obvious destructive capacities you would have to do the slaughtering when required. Just don't use a jcb.

I got stuck on a roof whilst sorting the TV ariel out .

Set the chimney on fire after sweeping it and deciding to burn the rubbish I had swept out not realising there was loads still up there .

Oh ! And managed to blow a cesspit up .

Hmmmm all I can say is Doh.

But then again I did something similar, I was cutting up someboards to make a dog kennel, using a bandsaw to savetime and effort. I was in mid cut when someone called me, the wood went through the blade and my finger touched the blade as well. Luckily i only took a chunk out of my finger.

attempting to be Jamie Oliver. Wont go into details but A&E needed 4 nurses and 1 consultant to even bandage it.

Tried to sort out squeaky floor board by screwing them down in my new house. Located the beams and set to work with the screws and electric screw driver. I did not realise the water pipes had been put just under the floor boards, rather than mid distance in the beams.

Result a fantastic indoor shower downstairs and a huge flood damage bill, which then highlighted non compliant lighting circuits.......

The joys of DIY....
