Just here to wish you all a wonderful week and whatever struggles you’re facing, this thread is here for you. Love you all
A note from me: I’ve survived brain cancer and all the traumas that go with it, I’m burnt out and often just feel like I need a break. I love you all and if you struggle like me then I’m here for you and so is everyone else in this thread. I wish you all a wonderful week. Keep each other strong xxxxx much love |

That's no mean feat dude well done. I used to have a partner who lived with a brain injury (she'd had multiple ops before eventually being cleared) and i know how tiring some days could get. She often just felt so mappy to be alive though.

I absolutely feel that a lot. I often don’t feel that it’s enough for other people though and that makes me sad |

I imagine it's ups and downs with brain injuries sadly. Just that idea of being cleared for life though, it must feel awesome when you focus on it. We weren't together all that long but I was actually there when they told her it was gone. Everything changed! It kind of did it for us both in a way(!), but it had to be got through and she had a life back, albeit one with some epilepsy still. I think she actually got into sharing the experience and hope etc in the end (ie as a vocation).

For me it’s like I was in the trenches for a year then just told to get on with life. Difficult to put down the armour and weapons and just start finding jobs Al that don’t really mean much in the grand scheme of things. Anything that I don’t thoroughly enjoy I sort’ve think to myself, ‘I went through hell for this?’ |
