Came across a video last night about a young guy talking to one of the actors from Hollyoaks. It was about how seeing an episode showing dealing with the death of one of the characters and it's affect on friends and family. This particular episode stopped the young man from ending his own life as he realised the impact it would have.

For those struggling hope you find your reason to keep going, no matter what it is. My reasons may never silence the thoughts but for the moment they keep me going.

Keeping active is the key for many i think, as new things can happen then. Try not to get stuck. Pt

This site has given my remaining shreds of self worth an absolute battering...

Starting to get the message that any meaning I find in my life simply won't involve other people.

From the forum or the site in general?

Tbh Fabswingers is a pretty furtive place is general (I don't mean swinging per se), so please don't take anything from here that might effect your self worth. It's not a typical place, and you could be getting signals from - who knows? Angry, mean, bitter, bored and amoral, inconsiderate, deviant or just generally messed up people! Every type is on here, and some of the people who shout the loudest, as they say.

And of course Fab can be a frustratingly-hard place to achieve your goals anyway, even for its 'prime set' by all accounts sometimes. It's always best to use alongside other places imo. Best is to use Fab just for fun if possible, though i know the forum can be serous (and genuinely friendly too) and for a lot of people it was a lifesaver in the pandemic in fairness.

While I know there are people I could talk to if needed I would never use a site like this as a reason to keep going.

It can have good and bad impact on mood and confidence and give a huge impression of missing out a lot

"I always keep 'permanent solution to a temporary problem' in my mind"

True enough but if have the thoughts regular enough it doesn't feel so temporary
