what's the deal with SOME women not liking winks or acknowledging them??? 
I’ve corrected that for you.
I’ve met a few wonderful ladies that started from a wink. |

Some people get loads and don't bother looking.
Some see it as lazy and would rather get a message.
Others aren't arsed.
Personally I like a wink but have found when we rarely wink back there's never any follow up so it's kinda put me off them.

I actually like sending and receiving winks, it shows to the person receiving them that you are interested. If I get one back then I follow it up with a message.
I don't quite understand why some people dislike them, I've even heard some people say it shows. Laziness on the person sending the wink . I absolutely disagree with that statement, I like most people on here , don't spend my life in fabs, I have a job and a life to lead . If I was to send a message to everyone I'd winked at Id never be off here  |

My notification says over 3000 new winks currently.
I'm not going to trawl through all of them to see if there's someone I find interesting. Especially if they didn't find me interesting enough for more than a quick button click to get my attention. Seems like a waste of everyone's time to me, but I'm sure they're fine for people who do appreciate them. |

I dont think winks are there to specifically be acknowledged, hense the name!
I get so many winks on FG after uploading sometimes I rarely even look tbh, some women prob are the same here, they might not even see them.

I start off by sending a wink just to show interest on the odd occasion I get a wink back I'll messege them winking isn't lazy or pointless it's a good way to show interest in others sadly it's been viewed negatively and so hardly people reply to them |

Seams to me that some people get all annsy over a harmless wink. If you don't care for them , then just ignore then .

I'll send a wink to a low effort profile if I think there is some potential there but not enough info to start a conversation. It's served me well.

I usually message as I know winks are hit and miss for a lot of people.
I tend to wink if I don't think I'm necessarily what the other person is looking for but I'll throw out a lifeline just in case.
For me, it's always nice to receive winks. Sometimes I'll respond, sometimes I won't. |

Single women usually get a lot of messages, as well as a ton of unsolicited f/r's and winks. How are we meant to find the time to reply to messages when we are meant to acknowledge winks?!
I get hundreds when I am online. Messages get priority! |

I do think it would be handy to be able to turn winks off on a profile, for those who don't like or use them though.
