Not sure if I should post here or not but I am self conscious about a rather large scar going down my chest. When I have met, on a previous account, I don't like to take my shirt off but this has put others off, even though I tell them why prior to meeting. I know if not got the best body or physic in the world but do I just say f**king and strip off. I'm even like it on holiday. Are you lovely fabbers bothered about body scars ?

I'm not. But then I have my own to be self conscious about, so perhaps I'm less likely to worry about someone else's.

I always see scars as the scars of a winner - whatever the reason that you've got your scar, you're here and you've won!

It's really not an issue at all.

If it's prominent I'll ask out of curiosity "what happened here then?"

But it would never put me off someone.

Scars are just part of you.

They tell stories.

They're nothing to be worried about.

Don't you worry yourself.

Own them - yes they may be reminders of trauma but they are there and for the most part you can't change that.

If somebody doesn't like your scar they are generally looking for perfection fantasy and already have a very particular visual they are wanting regardless.

Are scars themselves sexy? Not particularly in and of themselves (nor are they ugly) but what makes scars appealing as a whole is the things somebody went through to have them AND the confidence to own them (yes the latter is easier said than done).

No, they don't bother me. I've been with men who've had scars - it's just part of their story. My youngest son has a large scar on his arm after the summer - I told him to come up with an excellent story which I think he's working on

Some people won't notice, others will. Anyone who has an issue with that kinda thing really isn't the playmate for you, find people who make you feel comfortable enough to embrace who you are.

I have medical kit on my tummy (I’m a type 1 diabetic so the kit measures my blood sugars and gives me insulin without needing to inject each time) . I make sure it’s visible on the photos I use and then when I get talking to someone I check they’ve aware of it as people can be squeamish. Most people could not give a flying fig. Please, strip off and enjoy your body!

I have never been bothered by scars on someone else they are just a part of someone, but I now have a fairly recent scar on my side myself and I am self conscious about it, it is different when its your own body we judge ourselves so critically or at least I do with myself, but I am getting used to it its just another part of me now.

I have a scar on my stomach since I was a kid and also some moles. My attitude is this is me and if you don't like me then that's your problem. Its our imperfections that make us unique.

I'm squeamish about stuff like that. It's better if people mention it before a meet so they can tell me to fuck off before any time is wasted.

Yes, I totally understand where you're coming from. I absolutely my ugly scar on my stomach and keep it covered up, well until recently . I found the confidence to post some public photos of me naked with it on show, and I wore bikini at the beach a couple of weeks ago. Although I did hear some people laughing and I got it into my head they were laughing at my ugly fat stomach area so may take a bit of confidence building to wear a bikini again.

We should really learn to love ourselves though.

They might just have been laughing because their mate's bollock was hanging out of his speedos.

Scar tissue could be hardest thing to reduce or hide and some people naturally scar more than others a doctor once told me.

I like taking pics that hide scars and the like (I like to look younger than I am essentially) but ill always find a way of being more open about my imperfections before long, and certainly before any meet.

I think it's because I don't really see them as someone else's problem as such. To me people are entitled to what ever they want on here, and i personally dont want to ultimately mislead anyonee regarding what they are getting. I do look quite young but Ive lived a life and age itself doesn't come alone either as the saying goes.

In other people I don't really care, though some form of attraction always has to be there.

Hannah has big, visible scars from cancer surgery. It's never been an issue.

If you're fortunate enough to find somebody who wants to get it on with you, I'd say go for it and get your kit off. It's not like people don't realise operations happen. It might give you some confidence back.

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

Not bothered in the slightest, wifey has a few of her own ( through self harm and such ) I have one or two for different reasons. We’ve never met anyone ( so far ) who have commented negatively about them . Wifey actually seeks out guys or girls with different marks to play with. And I have to admit I’m a real perv when it comes to stretch marks on a lady

Tonypandy.

I'll admit to having a fascination about scars and blemishes. I think they tell a life story.

I have large scar on lower back from spinal surgery, several on my arms, from cooking accidents, a large burn scar on my right leg, and several on my legs. Never been bothered by them.

What I do get majorly concerned about is showing my legs, due to very bad varicose veins. I feel very conscious.

I not only have a scar on my upper chest but under the scar is a visible implant and was so extremely self conscious of it that I wouldn't get undressed in a club as didn't want people to see it. Took me a while before I was confident enough to use the hot tub (it's quite a dark area) but always had a towel over my shoulder on way to hot tub to hide it until one day a rather lovely lady noticed it in the hot tub and after asking questions about it asked if she could touch it. She then spent a good while carresing my scar whilst her other hand stroked my chest. Now I absolutely own it and will walk round with it totally uncovered. If that one lady hadn't took the time I may still be walking around hiding it. Yes some people might not like it but then more will be turned off by my face

We will never be for everyone so concentrate on enjoying the ones we are for and let the others fade from your memory and if they want to laugh feel free as at the end of the day we will own our imperfections whilst they will show there's by laughing.
