So, what's made you smile recently?

Yep, that's it. Zero waffle.

Strangley actually getting a day off and managing to cook for the family and deep clean the house/empty the washing baskets. Penny looks after me amazingly when I'm on a long run of 12-16 hour shifts so I love to get stuck in and give her a break when I can, knowing she has more time to relax makes me smile.

East Sussex

I saw a woman in a fur jacket at 8:30 am today. I smiled at that.

Then I saw a small boy crying and telling his mum his shoes hurt him. She was perplexed because they didn't hurt him yesterday. I smiled because I knew he didn't want to go to school and that was the best he could come up with

I saw them when I was young.

I thought I was going to implode.

They were supporting Westlife though so I had to sit through that afterwards

Day off today, went to play crazy golf with M, and watching her celebrate a hole in one on the first hole, as if she'd won the open

Went into hospital last week for an op.

At every hand over my file is checked by the next team.

Every single time, exactly the same questions and my responses, every single time.

Team, is that your name?

Me, yes.

Team, Is that your signature?

Me, yes.

Team, is that your date of birth?

Me, yes.

Team, and is that the date of your consent form? Oh, wait, hold on.....2018????????

Me, yes.

Made me do this every single time.

I'm easy pleased.

I just logged out of my work computer for the next 15 days. Whilst sending an email that will detonate (not literally, this is not a well disguised terrorist threat) a bunch of muppets on Monday morning, it truly is awesome to be alive
