Most people look at you as if you’re crazy when you give your opinion on something you believe but the majority don’t.
Lighthearted post so play nicely folks and heck I don’t mind if it’s a made up controversial opinion.
So, the big question is (drum roll)
What is your controversial opinion..

Seconded except I would go as far as to say I don't understand why major religions aren't considered cults.

I'd listen to the argument only provided the songs weren't the stringy 'progressive' While My Guitar Gently Weeps (suddenly elevated by Eric Clapton of course), Within You Without You (bong music, but his best for sure) and the catchy but repetitive Tax Man (such a hippie - though his best sounding song maybe). Or the truly-sloppy 'Something' - or even the over-ornate and surprisingly dated-sounding (listen to the music in it) 'Here Comes the Sun' imo too!
They are all pretty decent songs of course, but c'mon. Listen to them next to Lennon or McCartney you immediately tell who gets the covers.
Harrison could write a good tune though for sure (occasionality as a solo act too) - not quite as many melodies entwining within each song as the other two though! He essentially rides on a single clever tune (often for ages when solo), and his lyrics and themes aren't remotely as iconic and L's or M's either. To me, he was the 'prog rock' Beatle.
Also, so many of his songs sound as much like the Byrds as the Beatles themselves, that presumably the people who take the 'Harrison was the better writer' line think the Byrds are the better of the two bands? He didn't write that many songs for the Beatles after all.

You can't chose your original family, it's as simple as that.
It can be a such wonderful thing for some people obviously, but it's also literally where most of the murder and abuse is.. ie a living nightmare from birth for others.
Family definitely gets overrated at times, as good as it can be for some people.

lol you just said 'without doubt' is all. And this one has always pissed me off, especially now that I hear how The Beatles are overrated quite a lot from younger people. I sometimes wonder what songs they are getting to hear.
I'm a Lennon fan all day long, but my favourite Beatles song could be Let it Be, which has little of their patent cleverness itself really. I'm also a fan of Harrison's final album, his best imo. You know what it's called lol.

A lot of people (women especially it seems) say it's his lyrics, but I probably prefer his beats of the two myself. But he's is a ballad writer really it seems to me, and that's certainly not to everyone's tastes in pop music.

With little regard for law, be it employment law or road law it any other law to mention In this country. Not all farmers are like this. That would be very unfair of me. I would be happy to share a list of local farmers and their indiscretions.  |

Women post on this site for man, way too much.
