I am 51 fairly soon and it's dawned on me recently how many women use 50 as a maximum as it's a nice round number. Am I going to lose the opportunity the meet some wonderful people because of this ?
I put my genuine age on here, and then when I meet people think I look younger than 50. I'm an honest guy and think this is the right way to go. Or should I simply credit myself with 3 years next month and wind the clock back? |

Entirely up to you, not like you need permission but I would say that not everyone stops at 50 and also, a lot may have the age thing as a guideline rather than a full stop. |

I always think a lot of the women set their age limit at 55 - I like to think I look younger, but then I see myself in the mirror and realise I am no longer 28. |

If someone literally prevents emails from people over x age, you are already in the ballpark when you get there, so no bother I say. You can't really miss out on something that isn't there.
If its just a preference and you don't feel or look your years, it's a conversation starter maybe?
No point grumbling about you age though. Im a CD and am 53 tomorrow. I can still get what I want here if i work at it though. And Im more comfortable meeting women in general out and about anyway.

Nah, be honest.
If they have an age limit that blocks over a certain age, that's their choice and should be respected. Lying to get around it isn't cool. If it's just a preference and you can still mail them when you're barely outside it, then you can still give it a go. |

I remember dreading turning 50 on here!
Probably because 40’s were so easy and I knew things would change. I thought it would fall of a cliff but what happens on here is you get better with age and you begin to rely more on women contacting you
I like my 50’s on here, maybe as much as 40s even, there are plenty of women & couples who prefer older more experienced men so I wouldn’t worry about opportunities.
But if you’re even asking this question maybe you are not sure about yourself - and that itself could be the bigger problem.
