2014 Astra 110k miles, dents and scuffs, great runner though, I’ve no plans to change it.
It seems nearly every car on the road is either a merc, bmw or Audi or at least a fancy new SUV, oh Teslas too. |

I’ve got a 2011 Passat 2.0 diesel with 288000 on it and it’s running just fine. Never had an issue with it so not worth changing until it dies. It’s also one of the £30 tax vehicles which is a bonus |

I own that outright, too.
I think there’s a thing for conspicuous wealth, trying to show everyone how successful you are.
I don’t feel that need. |

I love how people assume if you drive a fancy car it's on lease and compensating for a small cock.
I have a fancy car - it's mine.
I don't have a cock
And my utility bill for electric is actually cheaper now than before as I get a discount for having a home charger on my driveway!
I also have a 16 plate people carrier for the kids/dog and mess with just under 50k on the clock. I own that too.
People don't assume! |

I enjoy the assumptions because they’re usually always wrong
And I’m glad you don’t have a cock |

I'm happy with both of mine, neither of which are any of the German brands.
Newest is 10 years old and I've had it for about a year and a half and it goes like stink.
My other car is 27 years old and I'm currently in the process of restoring it to it's former glory. It's a Yank and I've owned it for 20 years |

A car is just a car though, if it works then keep them running. I've had plenty of shit cars in my lifetime as well. Probably will again one day further along in the future. |

I used to love having nice cars.
I don't see the point now. You can't fart without getting a ticket and that's when you aren't caught up in traffic or roadworks lol.
I have a Peugeot 308 2017. It's alright, does the job. My daughter is driving it now so if she doesn't wreck it she can have it in a year or so - I'll get something else.
I would love to move out, middle of nowhere, in the States and get a Dodge Challenger. Here, I honestly couldn't care less as long as it goes and stops. |

Nope. 2009, french nearly 100k on the clock.
I've had it since 2011. Dents and scuffs and no plans to change. Lone the cr and it's been everywhere with me.

Don't feel bad Op. I've a 20 year old Toyota Celica. Still going strong, runs great, looks good and just did a long European road trip without issue.
Just because the car is old doesn't mean it's over the hill |

My bro just got a brand new Skoda.
He was showing me last night, it illuminates the floor with the word Skoda under the doors, when you open them. He was very excited about that!

Sorry to buck the trend, I’m a life long petrolhead, I love cars and motorbikes.
Have several of each, all very eclectic, all owned and all fun in their own way.
Do I have a small cock? I guess it’s all relative. |

2006 Galaxy (far far away) diesel, over 110k, ULEZ charging, scratches, dents, and wont change it until it dies. It's great for the numerous animals that I have had, plus the kids (no longer at home), plus camping so why should I change it. |

My daily runabout is a Skoda Yeti on an 11 plate with 142.000 miles on the clock,
Do not envisage buying anything else at my time of life.
In my 65 years of driving I have owned in excess of 50 cars, the amount of money spent on these cars makes me weep. |

06 plate fix it again tomorrow (fiat) is my current steed. No doubt I'll drive it until it will take more punishment then will be replaced with another banger !
As someone on the trade I see no value in new vehicles.
Generally my purchases are
10 years+ when I need to replace one.

Peugeot 306 estate i took it for mot today it’s just failed on ABS fault repaired it myself re test tomorrow it’s 23yrs old it does 800 mile of a tank of diesel it’s a cracking car and looks really tidy it’s older the one that it replaced (and that one did me almost 10yrs) |

Ah no, not the only one. I have a 206 peugeot, it's got a dent in the bonnet and my dog scratched the door... but it's reliable and cheap with 45k on the clock so also a rarity considering it's age, I bought it off a farmer who just kept it for going around the farm, he owned it from new, bought for his daughter who went off to travel the world. |

I like my ‘ fancy new SUV’ for £19 a day it’s been perfect for my UK tour. You can literally go anywhere & do anything with them , I’ve mentally written off the security deposit but I pay annually to ReduceMyExcess so they will be getting a claim from me.
I’m not sure if I’ll ever own a car again. I use the metro and Ubers for daily commuting / social and hire SUV or 4WD when needed. |

I had a 2005 Corsa which was ULEZ compliant with just over 66,000 miles on the clock. However in the next 3-6 months I felt the clutch would need replacing. As a clutch and labour was about £300-£400 and the car was probably about the same I bought a 2020 Ford Fiesta and the dealership gave me £200 for the Corsa.I really wanted to keep the Corsa but it just didn’t make sense spending the same money on the clutch as what the car was worth |

2010 Audi Q7, I’ve had it 8 years, paid in full when I bought it, because I hate buying and selling cars, so I always buy the best I can, look after it, and keep it until it gets unreliable.
3.0 turbo diesel, 115,000 miles… and it’s even ulez compliant!
Happy days. |

04 Focus 1.6, also 135k. Needs a new wheel bearing and the automatic gearbox is playing up. Put on new lower control arms and did some other work on it to hopefully squeak it past the MOT. It's the oldest in the car park at work. |

I have a 2005 beetle cabriolet.
Lots wrong with it including the drivers window not working and currently a misfire , looks a bit scuffed and not shiny, 96k on the clock.
I love him though and to me Lucifer is priceless |
