I have used Google reverse search for many things for years including verifying for myself whether people's photos are likely to be real or not.
Google has changed and reverse search is no longer available.
Has anybody got any other similar and easy reverse search methods?
I wish Google would bring back their reverse search, it was so easy to write click and search direct from the site. |

Yandex used to be the best but the Ukraine invasion put an end to that. |

"It says currently unavailable on mine, and has done for over a week. When I research it it looks like it's been changed
Have you tried Google lens? I haven't tried fully tried it out yet "
I haven't yet but I'm going to see how I can implement it |

I'm trying to find a way that I can right click on the image to search rather than have to copy images to my gallery, but if that's what I have to do now that is what I will do.
Google reverse that seems so easy to be able to right click on a picture on my screen and reverse search it, without having to save it to my gallery or do anything else. |

"Press and hold the image in chrome on android and you get a Google lens option. "
When the image displays in Google lens, there's an icon in the bottom right that will then use reverse image search rather than trying to match items in the picture |

"I get to know someone as much as possible. I wouldn’t reverse image search and some people wouldn’t want you to know there full name and details etc"
I only do it if I think they've used someone else's picture, like when I've seen people using very famous porn stars and actors pictures as their own.
On a separate note though nobody shared upload a picture onto the internet that they wouldn't like people to check out. It's your choice how to protect your privacy. |

"Right click only gives the options to download the image or link and to copy or share it. There is no longer a google search option. You have to download the image first and then use Google lens"
Not on my phone. There's still "search Google for image". |

It must be linked to the phone software then rather than a generic android platform |

There is a hack to restore the old version which brings up every available search option in Google but when I've tried it I get a message on every option saying not available on your platform. |

Are you using Chrome as the browser?"
I'm using Chrome on a Motorola phone and lost the search on Google option last year.
It was discussed in a thread back then with a lot of people having the same issue.
I've gone into Chrome flags to reset it or add search with Google lens to the right click menu but all options are greyed out and it says not available on your platform.

I'm using Chrome on a Motorola E6 and reverse image search is still available. Touch and hold the image, "Search image with Google Lens" appears second up from the bottom of the menu.
I'm on Android 9 but Chrome is up to date. |
