been here a while and notice that some people write and "amp" on their profile can someone tell me what this means , sorry if its a stupid question x |

Isn't it something to do with the & symbol,for some reason it doesn't always recognize it and it comes out &:amp..but I may be totally wrong and it probably is something to do with anal lol |

There was abrilliant programme on the Radio (4) recently about the history and context of the ampersand.

its down to bloody microsoft and their lazy coding of windows way way way back when windows was first made there was no storage room and they saved space when creating fonts so some fonts show & and some show &:amp
if the web designers could all use "OTF" fonts all would be fixed but most use "TTF" a condensed space saving tont set

If it's a site glitch why is it showing correct in the forum, &&&&,
I've seen profiles that have "and amp amp amp amp" don't know of any sentance that has four ampersan in. |
