How I've missed the sun. Today it feels like months of grey nothingness have melted away in the drench of sunshine. I am cheerfully sunburnt. May fate send us many more such days in the three months between now and when we fetch our Christmas trees... |

I don't know how I'll be this year.
I felt last winter was the coldest I've ever been and it had an awful effect on me.
Autumn used to mean Trick or Treating, Halloween parties and Firework parties with family, but we don't do that now the children are older.
The shorter days usually mean I'll feel depressed as it starts to get dark in the early evenings.
I'll have to make sure I'm up at dawn and out in the cold, to get as much sunshine as possible.
I am looking forward to Christmas though |

I love autumn. The quality of the light, the colour of the leaves, the freshness of the air.
Far prefer it to summer. September is my favourite month of the year .
It’s actually been autumn for a month already here in Wales. July in Welsh is “Gorffenaf” - “Gorffen” = “end”, “Haf” = “summer” . |
