Its shrove Tuesday tomorrow, pancake day yum yum and doubtless we will all be tucking in. Originally this was to use up eggs and milk before the abstinance of lent. I suspect a bit outdated but what would you give up for lent? |

hmmmm last year me and the daughter gave up meat and cheese - well she gave up meat and i did for her - likewise her with my cheese -
then i found i didnt enjoy cheese as much and it really used to be one of my guilty pleasure and she rarely eats meat now and only in a small quantity -
this year i think i will give up real butter - no way will i ever lose the yumminess of hot buttered toast or buttery mash |

"Alocohol.. However, it's my Birthday tomorrow so stuff that!! "
Tomorrow is fine. The giving up bit starts on Ash Wednesday. Lent restrictions don't apply to Sunday's or any high days that fall during the period. |
