We often moan about the British weather and always raining etc so here is a positive take on it, this morning I took the dog out to our local park, it was tipping down but very mild so was actually very nice and refreshing, not many people around so all I could hear was the sound of the rain and our local park is very beautiful and just made for a very enjoyable walk with some thinking time.
Do any of you enjoy rainy walks? (with or without a dog). |

Yes and no, I’m by the sea now so most rain here tends to be icy cold and blasted by the wind but when I lived more inland it was nice without the sea breezes making it so cold
Years ago I lived abroad and the rain there was warm, that absolutely was blissful, it only came once or twice a year and we (all the locals, the tourists thought we were nuts) would all go out dancing in the streets in it
Oh I do miss it at times |

I did a stint in the Middle East. We used to sit outside and drink gin and tonics when it rained (twice in two years) |

I always enjoy walking in the rain, I live in a beautiful part of the world, the rain keeps folk indoors, so at these times, I get to enjoy it all by myself |

I lived in SEAsia as a kid and worked there as an adult. As a kid we would go out in the rain and the locals thought it was funny to have white kids running around in the rain.
When I worked abroad I would do the same with me daughter, we woudl go out and dance in it and splash in puddles. An idyllic life. |
