Love them. I have something burning every day. I like the house to smell nice. I’ve started with the wax a bit now. There’s a lady who makes them around here and they’re lovely.
I always buy Yankee as I found other brand ones just aren’t the same. If anyone knows any good cheaper ones that you can actually smell let me know |

I'm currently burning an autumnal Fig candle recently bought back from the Cotswolds. It's warming and uplifting.
Also, for the kitchen to disperse any smells, Geranium and Basil from Habitat/Sainsbury's. It's a bit gutless if I'm honest but potent enough to clear the kitchen air. |

I like my home to smell nice and I got into candles in a big way.
Then I discovered Neom!
I now have oil defusers in each room and hallway, they light up as well like a candle for that low glow lighting, plus they have a remote so can lounge and operate
Loved Jo Malone and St Ives candles |

They do some good deals sometimes. That’s usually when I stock up. And Christmas of course! |

Yup, I care for my father who likes a candle flickering every evening, he can go through one a day easily and if I give them all in one go he’ll light them all and scatter them around his room, at one point he was using 5/6 a day but it wasn’t possible to continue so many so he gets one at a time now |

Re making your own, be careful! I made a ton last winter and not only did they smoke so much it stained the ceiling but they put the ambient temperature up to over 30 degrees and set the fire alarms off |

Yes!! I tried that too, something about getting the wrong type of wax and wicks, I don’t dare do it again, the flames were huge |

Well it was soy wax, a proper candle making kit so I can only assume my house was haunted at the time |

Good craft suppliers have everything you need, wick, perfume, colour, bulk wax, moulds and Stearine,an additive to make wax harder.Without it the raw wax is too soft. You can also recycle all the spent candle ends and wax drips. |

I’ll stick to Neom diffusers.
I like my house standing |

"IKEA! Cheapest I’ve found. My place is decked out in black candles. I’m not a witch. Honest . "
Haha me too...
My local branch of Matalan were selling loads of black pillar candles for 50p each. So I bought the lot! I self checked out in case anyone thought I was a witch... Coincidentally, I was wearing all black that day... |
