Just trying to judge the consensus of if people prefer a Dad bod (like mine) or gym fit? If it's gym fit I think I'll adjust my gym sessions to trim up and give myself the best chance. |

neither of us go for the "gym fit" look, i myself have always preferred a bbw or at least a woman with curves and my lady enjoys average/dad bod look (lucky for me as its been nearly 15 years since i has a 6 pack lol!)

"Dad bod seems to encompass a wide range of bodies doesn’t it
I remember when it used to mean something specific, now it just means "Not Gym Fit""
Which makes the question impossible to answer! |

There is no such thing as a dad bod. The mum bod crap at least they have actually gone through a physical event that changes their body.
Dad bod is just someone that doesn't work out.

I’m in decent shape for a 43 year old fella. Walking every day, and swimming regularly does the trick.
I’d be more inclined to visit the gym if they weren’t the most boring places on the entire planet. |

Balanced diet along side exercise is key... we avoid sugary stuff, never eat fat free , never processed bla bla...actually have a very European relaxed diet...however, over indulge then need to sweat that little bit more...also not weighed myself for decades... just go on how clothes fit |

That’s the bit that can be difficult,
The exercise I’m cool with.
Due to the nature of my work, meal planning can be a pain in the arse.
My body clock is in pieces too …again due to the work I do.
Hopefully another 4 to 5 months and I’ll be where I want to be.
I have a weakness for good cake! |

Step away from the cake unless home made then a slice is just fine |

Some do, some don't, some like both, some like neither.
Some like slim/skinny men, some like large/fat men.
Change your body for your own reasons and to please yourself m not what somebody else might like and find pleasurable.
By going for one body type you are turning away others.
This way of thinking of changing to raise chances falls right in with the whole picky women thing. People changing themselves to fall at the feet of and adhere to whatever picky specification is stared. |

Our gym has a range of bodies, ranging from very lean (too lean for us), to very pumped up with roids (not for us either), somewhere in between is good for us. What is a Dad bod? One stone overweight? Seven stone overweight? |

Well...as I see it...a dads body doesn't go through any physical changes, therefore shouldn't technically change at all |

Good question, I've seen a lot of questions about a definition, would say just a little extra padding, I work out like 4 to 5 days a week but lift heavy weights, was trying to see what preferences people have, started doing cardio on top to lean up a but and get some abs back, not seen them for a few years now haha |

I wish we could lose the daft Fab term 'dad bod'! It's not a 'mummy tummy' guys, stop moaning and looking for parity where there is none at all. Either sort it or not, don't be ninnies about it. In all likelihood she does all the donkey work in your marriage, not you. If you did as much you should be as fit as fiddles not fat as fuddles.
