I've been thinking about self care and kid dinners. So. I'd like to ask you, fabsters.

What is your go to/favourite comfort dinner?

I love chips, beans, and nuggies. Or a cheesy pasta bake

Spaghetti Carbonara it's not so much from my childhood, but I used to make it for my girls when they were little. So it's got that comfort vibe going on.

I'm sorry to turn your thread filthy but. A king sized greasy Donar kebab and then licking the excess garlic mayo from the container leaving my face akin to a porn money shot.

It depends on what level of comfort I need.

It's been a rainy cold day?

Jam roly poly. Cold custard.

I'm feeling a bit exhausted/low energy? Wild mushroom ramen. Or a Buddha bowl with extra roasted butternut squash.

People are irritating me and I need comfort from their bs? Macaroni cheese or cheese on toast or tartiflette.

I just want some comforting soul food? Jerk chicken and dumplings. With rice and peas.

I want to see the world burn?

The tears of those who have wronged me.

I think if I was feeling like that I quite enjoy a nice pasta but I’d have to make the sauce myself. Brown the onions off, chilli flakes, coriander, some decent chilli oil.

So many of these options I could not make if I'm coming out of a big cry. My comfort meals are ones I can chuck on when I haven't been to the shop for 6 days, I have no clean pants left, and I need to remain sat on my kitchen floor ripping up tissues and mumbling under my breath.

Hungover - Pepperoni pizza
