Mine is queuing. So why are people that just got to the bus stop running in front of people that have *been* waiting?

Holding doors open for people. Saying hello to people when you walk past them in the countryside. Joining in choruses of happy birthday when someone you don't know in a restaurant is celebrating. Stopping at Zebra crossings.

And, although it's a less British one, taking every opportunity to smile at babies.

Innit awkward when you’re walking with earphones in and you don’t know whether the person coming towards you had said hello or not so you don’t know whether to say hello or not

Talking to old people on the bus, in the shop, out on a walk, cos you never know if they have anyone what to chat to.

Holding doors open for people can be awkward when they are a few steps away and you make them run.

Saying hello to everyone,if they look in my direction I will smile and say hello to them.

Taking time to talk to the elderly.

Saying hello to a child as well as the adult that's with them.

Letting people with only a couple of things go infront if me in the queue

Making time to chat to the elderly, always wonder if they live alone. Breaks my heart to think they might be alone

Amen!

I'm also going to add standing on the right hand side of an escalator (tube particularly!)...let's keep society civilised, people.

Lol in London it's a free for all on buses!

I remember a few years back visiting my family and went to get a bus from our small town to Belfast. Three people were queuing for and empty bus. Being a Londoner for so long I went to get on and got told off by an old lady for not queuing ??

I read an article that described this as passive/aggressive behaviour. I always just say, 'no need to rush'
