I experience auditory hallucinations when I’m falling asleep. I know they’re not real and it’s my brain. Yet others might think they are ghostly going’s on. It can be explained with science so I believe the science.

The history of humankind shows things constantly move from being supernatural to explained / science.

People used to think things like water divining, lunar and solar eclipses and severe mental health were super natural until science explained them.

I think there’s definitely more dimensions to consciousness and perception and additional senses.

I've had a few experiences in my life that I can't explain. I genuinely can't find an explanation. I posted one on here and several people told me I'd imagined things, my brain was playing tricks on me, my memory was false etc etc.

Out of interest I went to a few clairvoyant evenings where my experiences lead me to believe that I was in a room full of deluded people, some of who genuinely believed they were receiving messages from their loved one and some who really believed they were passing them on. Most of the clairvoyants were just pretending and not very well.

However I do try to keep an open mind because as I say stuff has happened to me that I can't explain, yet.

I watched a program recently where a Welsh radio presenter was investigating 'paranormal' activity at a farmhouse. Part of the investigation involved contacting via Ouija the Welsh speaking monk who was one of the apparitions who was also believed to be writing words in Welsh on the walls. The people holding the seance knew no Welsh and purely by chance the Welsh speaking monk decided he only felt like communicating on English. Funny that.

I stayed regularly between 2005 and about 2016.I didn't experience stuff myself every time, but usually someone else did, especially if there were very few guests.

Are you clairvoyant and what's it like for you?

No. It doesn't exist and I abhor those who scam the bereaved, easily led and lonely claiming to be.

Whilst there are things we cannot yet explain, that doesn't make them supernatural. Science simply hasn't yet provided the answer.

I definitely believe in spirit and often get "signs" from those who have passed.

Only the other week, it was a friends birthday, 1st one since he passed. I'd been to look at the sun set and walking back along the beach someone shouted his name (it was a group of lads) I've never met anyone else with the same name, it's very unusual. So I like to think that was a sign from him.

First anniversary coming up, so will see if anything else happens! His gf has also had some spooky coincidences.

And the other night I was woken by 3 loud knocks on the door, not the first time I've experienced that. So I'm now waiting to see who or what comes into my life.

Back in the day I used to watch ‘Most Haunted” - obviously I knew it was all staged shit but for those familiar with the programme, remember when Derek Acorah used to get “possessed” by spirits and speak in their accent?

Well one time he did a Michael Jackson seance, allegedly having Jackson speak through him.

Funny that on *that* occasion Derek said that he would speak in his natural voice - basically because everyone knew what Jacko sounded like so he couldn’t fake it!

And yes, of course, Acorah was later gotchaed by his own programme with the famous Kreed Kafer incident!

But one faker does not disprove the paranormal of course! I’ll keep an open mind on it all

Funny that.

I’ll keep an open mind on it all and that's all I say to people keep an open mind and prepare to believe the unbelievable "

The one where he got possessed by dick Turpin's fiance Mary ..and he was in a trance saying " Mary loves dick ..Mary loves dick " lol

I had a poltergeist for a while about ten years ago, so yes -- although I reserve judgment for the explanation.

Also, about 30 years ago and not connected to the above, I took part in an exorcism and the resulting supernatural experience (that I won't go into here) was very very real and very fucking scary.

I don't believe in it. But I wouldn't do a ouija board because what if I'm wrong? I dunno, I don't like it. I am easily frightened. But I definitely don't believe in it.

Done an ouija board, nothing happened. Never seen a ghost, don’t believe in spirits other than alcoholic ones.

Nope, definitely not a believer. I know people who debunk such nonsense, especially mediums who prey upon others using cold-reading to solicit money from them. There are plenty of books on the tradecraft.

Every single time I used a Ouija my dog at the time would wake up, and come and lie down under the board between the feet of me and my partner and go back to sleep.

I would take part in a ouija board for fun, because it's just a gane.

No, I am not clairvoyant and don't believe anyone is.

I watched that programme too and thought the same. It was interesting when Sian Eleri spent the night in the Yurt and wok up panicked....Then talking to the psychologist about it later, him saying that the mind is powerful and her experience may of been different had she not been aware that Penyffordd Farm was haunted....

The locations mentioned aren't that far from me so I found it interesting

He offered a shitload of money to anyone who could demonstrate supernatural events

No queues of diviners, fortune tellers or the rest of the crowd funnily enough

Strange how all these apparitions happen in dark lonely places, never pop up behind the newsreader on the six o clock news

What I found very interesting was the scientific explanation of how the writing suddenly appeared on the walls. Was it silver nitrate that can produce that effect? The man who lived in the house was a chemist...

I think there is a lot we do not yet understand and also a whole load of bullshit, fakery and over active imagination.

I have experienced some real events that cannot be explained rationally which could fall in to the supernatural heading, such as furniture moving and noises of human activity in an empty house.

I think a lot of it is a bit like dragons. You can only see them if you believe in them. Or was that unicorns?

Plenty on here will vouch for them being mythical creatures.

I won't be PMing you about this, sorry.

I was part of a church group in my early 20s, quite evangelical and full on, and while I don't hold the same beliefs now, I was seduced by their energy and it provided a sense of purpose for a while. I'm older now, so a long time ago.

At some point I'd casually mentioned my interest in the occult when I was a teenager, and they decided that I should say some prayers to renounce my involvement with it.

So, as a group they started to pray with me and over me -- and within a few seconds I felt my body double up, and I started to shake and convulse, shout abuse and swear, all completely out of my control, like something had taken over.

I was swearing, shouting, throwing myself around the room as they laid hands on me, praying for me -- it was like a scene from The Exorcist!

I cannot remember how long it lasted, but after a while I calmed down, like some weight had been lifted from me -- and the next day felt this calm, serene energy, like complete release.

I was also exhausted, but in a good way.

The church people assured me it was 'normal' to have this experience, and that I was no longer under the influence of the devil etc.

One night, about a week later, my girlfriend at the time randomly started screaming and shouting at me while we were in her car outside my home -- her whole face changed, like she was no longer herself:

"Fuck you" "fuck you", "you fucking reject me you bastard" -- it was like she became psychotic out of the blue! We had been fine before, there was no arguing or anything like that.

I started to pray, not knowing what was going on, and made it into my room on time to phone a church leader -- he said some prayers, she calmed down, looking very sheepish and frightened.

The next day the church leader told me we were safe, and that Satan would try desperate things to get back at me. Together we tried to assess what was going on, but it was all very scary.

However, over the next few weeks I started to feel this paranoid fear, like I was being followed and watched by something.

I could make out fleeting shapes in the corner of my eye as I walked home, or felt a presence around me in my room.

Also, physical things started to happen, like my electric mains shaver randomly turned itself on in the middle of the night, waking me up -- it was the type where you had to slide a switch to operate it.

This carried on for weeks, I was exhausted from it all, waking in the night, feeling the presence of evil near me.

That's the short version; there is more and I feel nuts just talking about it tbh.

I eventually broke away from the church group and the scary things stopped.

So, either it was real, or it was the product of some weird mind fuck caused by the intense beliefs of the church.

I don't know, but it felt very real at the time.

Why tell the dead to rest in peace, if you're gonna trouble them its not right

Don't even know what they truly went through when they lived a life, never knew because some people keep things to themself and just get on with it which they're allowed to do so the least people can do is leave them to rest in peace and get on with your own living life

Ouija boards are just nonsense. They were invented as a parlour game in the late 19th century and marketed by Hasbro in the early 20th century. The copyright is still owned by Hasbro, who also make Kerplunk and Twister, amongst others. Ouija just means yes yes in French and German. If there are "spirits" floating around, I hope they have more gravitas than communicating through a board game

I'm fairly open minded and have done lots of research but the evidence that would suggest to me that most/all of the alleged supernatural forces doesn't exist yet, for me.

If some of them exist, it may mean that our accepted laws of nature would need correction.

I honestly have no idea. The sceptic in me wants to say it's all nonsense, and I do err on that side of it mostly, yet there's a part of me that can't help wondering if there's something we're all missing about it - in much the same way as a caveman might wonder about electricity. Maybe, in centuries or millennia from now, people might look back at our 'naïvety' and wonder what it must've been like for us to not understand the knowledge they take for granted. Perhaps there will emerge areas of science that encompass at least certain parts of what we call supernatural or spiritual. That said, I don't believe such supernatural forces will ever open a path to communicate with the dead - I really don't think that sphere of spiritualism will ever be fathomable.
