It was looking like we were going to have to buy a new mattress. Ours isn’t that old and is a super king size so not cheap to replace. I change our bedding twice a week (sometimes more).

Today I decided I would try and clean it with the spot vax. It worked. The mattress looks great… for now

I find if you put a mattress protector on , the mattress always stays stain free. Then all you need to finish wash the mattress protector

We tried getting one when we bought the bed and could not find one that fits. Sheets and duvets have recently become more popular for this size of bed

If a sheet goes over does a stain on the mattress matter?

Yes, if you're selling your mattress to used-mattress fetish lovers, who've progressed from used knickers

Ammonia diluted with water and light dabbing removes stains. Mixture values differ but it's usually a desert spoon of amonia to a large cup of water. Great job to remove organic stains.

I've never had a problem finding bedding or mattress protectors for my super king-size bed. They've been available for a long time.

You can buy mattress stain remover ... just spray it on and leave to dry. It breaks down organic stains.
