Good eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevening, Nerø and nocturnal owls.

Today, I waited for just shy of 2.5hrs beyond my appointment time at the hospital. It wasn't the morning I'd envisaged with our daughter.

We had a slap-up hospital lunch at ²pm and then I took her to the cinema because she'd been so patient. That bit was nice.

What a day

Was watching Shania at the BBC the other night.

Told the story of how she split from her first husband after he had an affair with her best friend. She then ended up marrying her best friend's ex Husband.

Saw her in concert once and was slightly disappointed

She did it anyway.

Women were excluded from the marathon and longer distance races, plus the steeplechase, until fairly recently. Steeplechase only became something women could enter in the Olympics in 2008. It was only recognised as a World Record event in 2000.

We are sybaritic!

As one should be! (I didn’t know what it meant without Google so hope I have replied correctly!) "

Having read up through the thread, our dear friend Cede also asked what was viewed at the flicks today.

I spent the summer holiday between 1st and 2nd year at senior school, reading the entire Agatha Christie collection in the local library. Those were the days when you had 5 little cardboard tokens, and you handed one token over for each book you borrowed, then got it back when you returned it
