So, let's go with the idea that if you're a forum user you prefer to know those you have sex with. If you're not, stranger shagging is more your cup of tea.
Is that true in your experience? Which are you? |

Not a stranger shagger, all those I have met I have built up a rapport. Also, I have not slept with all those I have met from Fab, some are good friends to meet socially and I'd like to keep it like that. |

Surely answering at all makes the responder a forumite to some degree.
I like a connection. I like to be really into the people I spend one on one time with.
When I want mindless hedonism, that's what the clubs are for. I wouldn't meet some randomer last minute from fab for a one on one, I already have wonderful people on hand for that  |

I've been both in the past. Most one to one meets were arranged with people I initially interacted with on the forums.
Stranger shagging was primarily a club phenomenon. Both had their appeal. |

In that case, I much prefer it with people I have got to know. That said, I've never done it with a stranger that I *really* fancy. That has possibilities.

Ummmm I'm not 100% sure of the question.
I "prefer" forum people because I have more of a glimpse in to whom they are. I like to know the person. Etc etc
But I still find the odd stranger that I've got to know that has no forum use at all |

To be honest it totally varies, if I was planning a meet off here then yeah I'd want to get to know them and see if there was a connection.
If I met someone in a club it would be totally different I wouldn't have the amount of needing to get to know them as on here.

I love getting to know people and letting things progress organically. It’s definitely what I’m looking for.
Although I would say everything serves a purpose and one night stands can be really hot. Being completely lost in lust with someone knowing that by morning you’ll be strangers again. Then in the years following, the memories flickering back to steal your sleep when you least expect it  |

Lots of chat and then a social. After that with fabbers next meet is sexual.
As far as forumites are concerned it's pretty slim pickings finding someone in Reading and can accomodate with mutual attraction. I may get up to the next London social to meet more forumites. But my guess is location is still going to be an issue with anyone i meet there. |

I like to get to know a person now, before getting naked.
Years ago I met people after short conversations and frequently felt flat afterwards.
I'm not a hook up kind of woman, which is why clubs don't appeal to me.

I prefer to know the person a bit to actually feel a connection as I just think the sex is better.
That being said it doesn't have to be weeks of endless talking - sometimes you just get the sense the naked fandango is going to work

We prefer to get to know people a little first before, make sure our personalities are matched and we are comfortable in their company.
The only exception is in a club when play can be impromptu, especially Ruby with the bi ladies. |

Ah clubs are a different environment from what I'm quickly learning! Yes; it's a different dynamic. Of course you can meet people you already know there but I think part of why people enjoy it so much is meeting new people etc. |

I’m not sure that is true, plenty of non-forum users say they want to chat first to see if there’s an attraction. Perhaps because if they want stranger shagging it’s much easier to find so they don’t need to advertise for it.
I prefer to like whoever I’m doing it with which means knowing them a bit first. I don’t need to see copies of their A level certificates but I do need to know if I can be a bit vulnerable without them mocking me. That’s why the forum is so useful, it lets you get an idea of whether it will be ok. |

I can honestly say that I've never gone into this forum (or fabuys even) to hook up and I can't be the only one there.
It's pretty rare that I do complete stranger shagging as I usually need a decent idea of someone first. Of course what that actually entails for people (ie the idea of someone) will vary.
It's certainly 'a thing' to chat your way out of encounters either way I think!
Honestly, I think there's a reason we don't generally boff our mates, even the ones we fancy and could be up for it!
The friendships for me (I do have a few via this stuff) have always come afterwards, ie via meeting a few times etc.
I think it's quite hard to properly get to know someone when sex is clearly the agenda too! These things take time.

Only ever met two current (active) forumites and I married one of them.
I'm not one for random hook ups but if anyone from the forum ever took my fancy and vice versa and they wanted to bang, I'm open to it (don't worry, I won't marry you!)

That does happen. Sometimes.
I don't think there's anything wrong with either preference. One person isn't better than another because they want/hope for a connection. There can be snobbery around it sometimes, including inverse.
I think as long as you know and you're comfortable with what you want, that's enough. |

When I was younger, many centuries ago, I used to do a little of both. Mixing it up a bit. Someone you on is better because of…well things. But sometimes you can just click immediately and need to get into each others pants, then go your separate ways and there a b s o l u t e l y nothing wrong with that  |
