Take the predictive text off before you let a family member use it !
Imagine my nieces surprise when looking for fat face clothing, keying in the f and the a and being offered fabswingers.
Then imagine my surprise at being asked what fabswingers is 
Oh btw my history is cleared down after every session for just that reason - i did not know however that it has prediction on the key pad too ! |

the truth (ish)
i told her it was an adult site, that i use to make friends and chat to people
she's 23 and has access to google, so i guessed there was no point in kickin dirt over the tracks |

I don't let anyone other than Siren use my laptop for that very reason. You just can't be sure what's remembered and what's not these days. My 15y/o has her own devices for browsing the internet including:
Laptop
Kindle Fire
Blackberry
various gaming consoles  |

I use IE too, but I don't set it to private browsing for reasons stated above. Siren prefers Chrome. |

I had a similar thing with a friend. Had the laptop connected to the tv, opened a new tab on the Internet and it showed the most active 2 sites were swinging sites. He asked what they were and I said I haven't got a clue, must be off the baby sitter the other night. Don't think he believed me!! |
