GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please) |
Yes definitely.
Sometimes none of your messages seem to land correctly, or idiots full your inbox, or you just find yourself bored.
I find that when I'm grumpy I need to take a break, do some gardening or spend more time with family.
If youre fed up, Log out for a bit.
We'll still be here on your return. |

Aye. I either UNLOS or hide when I can no longer be arsed.
Then come back for a few weeks when it’s time.
Then repeat.
But on a positive note most people get fatigued with me before I do Fab, so it’s usually welcomed. |

Yes absolutely there is. It can be tiring trying to be reasonable and sound and having your words and intentions twisted to suit someone else’s narrative.
It can also be tiring trying to avoid the game players, the collectors and the stirrers.
Breaks are necessary |

I know what you might mean — but something always seems to happen that changes my mind.
Just when I am about to give up and look elsewhere I suddenly seem to connect with some nice people and want to stay |

"Yes. I can usually feel a timeout coming so post a bit less or stick to the funny threads and ignore messages."
Oh, that's why you haven't replied to my 57 messages.

I get why the notion is 'Fab Fatigue' completely.
But to me it's not about Fab itself, just the people (some) that use it. The site is just a site. It can't be blamed.
It's those that you encounter that say one thing and do another entirely. That appear to have two distinct personalities. The public face that is appealing, charming and friendly, that engages with you and others in a manner that draws you in and gives you an impression of someone respectful, self aware, supportive and compassionate. And the real them, playing their own game and harbouring their own agenda, none of which you'll be aware of til it's too late and you can't wind back the clock and go back to a time before you'd ever been aware they existed. They're often deserving of an Oscar given the performances they put on and how convincing they are with their act.
So no.
I don't think I've ever been tired of Fab in all these years.
But I've certainly become both mentally and physically exhausted at times due to some of it's inhabitants.

I have to agree with this completely.
I'm pretty good at picking out the multifaced people in my daily life but on here not only is there an over abundance of fake personas but also lots of people wearing rose tinted spectacles or blinkers.
Those enablers are just as bad.
I see it most days on the forums and I can predict who will comment on certain threads and exactly what they will say but my history with them is that in reality they are the exact opposite of how they portray themselves here. |
