"Does anybody else buy aftershave and think it’s great, only to open it up a week later, put it on, and think why did I buy this?"

I don't buy aftershave. Aftershave is rarely found in stores these days; it's mostly/exclusively cologne or eau de toilette and I usually try it out for a few days before taking the plunge and investing in a scent.
Even so, that's about once a decade. Once I've found two or three signature scents I rarely deviate. |

Dad used to use aftershave.
The last time I saw an after shave was in a Christmas boots hamper from Nivea.
What the last post said. Invest in a good signature scent that’s not made by a fashion brand.
Go to a decent John Lewis and ask to smell anything that sells for north of £100 per 100ml.
If you are fishing for compliments a good starting point is to test out a range from creed, bond no.5, Diptyque, penhaligons, Le Labo, Jo love etc |
