There is no bread better for toast than tiger bread.

Toppings? Always butter. Maybe some marmite or marmalade

I think the topping determines the best bread. For baked beans or cheese then Aldi's malted bloomer takes some beating but it's a bit too tasty for jam where you want something like a generic white toasty loaf. Some days hot buttered white toast is just the best thing.

Aldi do this honey soaked seeded bread, its lush toasted with lurpak spread generously.

When lazy it's Warburtons toastie, the big one not that shite small one. Or a good crusty white loaf cut thick. In either case the toast must be well done. No toppings at all. Perfect with black coffee
