Yesterday at work someone tried to take their life, she's not someone I knew personally nor was it pleasant to look at or watch someone in that much distress, after nine thousand phonecalls and some helpful police and some more than unhelpful members of the public, she was moved relatively unharmed and then taken to receive psychiatric assistance after her family had brought her dry clothes.
So, this isn't about me directly but from my perspective talk it out find the help you need the world is a better place with YOU in it |

In typical *slaps fist on chest* man, I came home and got d*unk but overall I'm fine and thankfully so is the poor lady! |

A good friend of mine took his own life a few years ago due to a relationship break down, I really miss him so much and wish he would have talked to me about how he was feeling, I myself tried to do the same thing over 20 years ago for the same reason, I could have helped him through and am proof that things can change and that you won't always feel the way you do. |

I encounter many people in such distress and a common narrative is that they reach out for support, but it's never there till it reaches that stage: 'nobody cares'.
That suicide is such a social taboo there's no space to talk about it. So they have to keep it hidden and deal with it on their own.
So thank you for creating that space today. Maybe it will give someone a glimmer of hope that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train coming the other way. |

This.
Also, did well to get them some help. A work colleague did similar and ended up in hospital, back at work on the Monday and they didn’t even let him have a day off |
